Interaction Design Mind Map

Daily life is filled with interactions between objects, people, places. Not everything is always comfortable or the best experience. Interaction Design comes to aid the possible interfaces between two entities and deliver the experience in a smooth manner. When its bad, people talk about it- it hurts, or creates more problems than aiding the success of the activity. When its good, its a smooth background experience, and one is able to achieve their goal without even thinking how they were able to achieve it. Some interactions are also meant to provoke and trigger thoughts, as the experience is consumed. 

Before reaching here, I was working in the Research and Insights team of the Innovation and Design Centre for a manufacturing company, named Godrej &Boyce Manufacturing Co Ltd. The history of their products has been around since the last 112 years ranging from locks to furniture to security solutions to satellite parts- 14 different businesses and hundreds of products. 

However, pace at which the company is growing, the daily lives of people is changing far more rapidly than ever. People’s routines, aspirations and anxieties are different from their starting point. User experience is one of the key elements that determines how a company would wish to be perceived by their customers through their offerings. 

As we transition into the analogue-digital era, how do organizations look at their existing businesses and what new experiences can they offer their customers? How can they work more sustainably and responsibly to ensure the legacy of their company can be continued into the future as well?
